Embedded systems

Embedded systems

They are often invisible and yet they ensure that our daily life runs smoothly: Traffic lights, elevator control systems, automotive electronics – today, there are few technical devices that can do without an embedded computer system. To make devices even more reliable and efficient, in the future embedded systems will become intelligent systems.

Collectively development, production and programming of embedded systems constitute one of BICCnet's core topic areas. The integrated computer systems control and monitor technical devices and systems, and process signals and data. In Bavaria, the large industries that use embedded systems are represented by the key industries of automotive engineering, automation technology, electrical engineering, aerospace, medical technology, and mechanical engineering.

BICCnet pays particular attention to the increasing intelligence of embedded systems. Through the networking of embedded systems with each other at a high level, as well as with the Internet, the so-called Internet of Things is created, which enables comprehensive services in all areas of life.
